The GPS position of the vehicle is determined via an antenna built into the device. If the unit is also equipped with a cable to the vehicle’s CANBUS, engine data such as fuel consumption, engine speed, AdBlue/fuel level, engine load, engine temperature are obtained. Odometer readings are also sent from some vehicles.
